Radical Modernism

Book Design

This book is designed based on an excerpt from Dan Friedman’s Radical Modernism. To pay homage to Dan’s spirit, each chapter uses a signature shape derived from his works and collects other designers and artists’ works using a similar visual language. I intend to make the book energetic, dynamic, unconventional, and uneasy to hold to correspond to the text, which is full of passion, optimism, pain, and struggle.

Q: Why are the page numbers replaced with dices?



A: This idea comes from the floating dices seen in Dan’s works!  Be playful and radical!
