Architect Exhibit: Shigeru Ban
Exhibit Design
Scale: 1 inch = 1 foot
Dimension: 10.5 x 10.5 x 9 inches
Material: wood, acrylic, acetate
In this project, I was asked to design an exhibit in the spirit of a chosen architect within a 18’ x 18’ x 18’ space.
The architect I chose is Shigeru Ban, who won the Pritzker Prize in 2014 for his innovative use of materials as well as his dedication to humanitarian efforts. In the pavilion I designed, I chose to display the Transitional Cathedral designed by Ban in 2013, which was constructed as a replacement of the original one after the 2011 Christchurch earthquake.
